About Sumilon Island
Sumilon Island is a stunning 24-hectare island located off the southeastern tip of Cebu. It's famous for its pristine white sandbar that shifts position throughout the year, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and excellent snorkeling and diving spots.
The island is home to the first marine protected area in the Philippines, established in 1974. This means the marine life here is incredibly diverse and well-preserved - perfect for snorkeling and diving enthusiasts. You can also enjoy kayaking, paddleboarding, and simply relaxing on the beautiful sandbar.
Marine Sanctuary Paradise
As the Philippines' first marine sanctuary, Sumilon Island offers some of the best snorkeling in Cebu. Expect to see colorful coral gardens, tropical fish, sea turtles, and if you're lucky, even reef sharks in the deeper areas.
